Painting the Town (of La Conner)
July 30, 2009
This Saturday and Sunday, August 1 & 2, I will be in La Conner, Washington with the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters participating in a live “Paint-Out”. Several of our plein air landscape painting members will be all over the La Conner area working with pastels, oils, acrylics and watercolors working directly from the subject.\n
\nA special one month gallery exhibit of works from this group, as well as pieces finished during the paint-out, will be held at La Conner Seaside Gallery near the heart of La Conner (210 Morris St). The PSGNWP will also have a 2 day “artists' exhibit” and sale of their own artwork, directly adjacent to the gallery in an outdoor pavilion setting.\n

\n \n Channel Rhythms\n \n\n
\nThe painting here, “Channel Rhythms” is a piece I did one month ago along the Swinomish Channel in downtown and will be 1 of 3 of my works showing at the gallery. Come see art-in-the-making, by some of the northwest's most accomplished landscape painters.\n
