\n \n Do The Ocean Motion With Me\n \n\nI am one of 27 artists selected nationally to participate in the 3rd annual “Paint the Peninsula” juried competition at Port Angeles, Washington, September 7-13. We will all be painting within the Olympic National Park, as well as areas around Port Angeles and Sequim with a special exhibit at the Port Angeles Fine Art Center where we each submit 4 paintings to be juried. The invited artists are coming from all over the U.S. and Canada to paint and compete for awards – wish me luck!\n

\nThe painting here “Do the Ocean Motion with Me” (sorry, couldn’t resist the title from an old rock hit lyric “Locomotion” ) was done in early August at Rialto Beach on the Washington coast, as a practice run for this event. Moving water is always a challenge, and this one was no exception.\n
